From Undergrounds of TEHRAN to NEW YORK CITY
Yahya Alkhansa was born in Tehran, Iran in 1981, He started his music studies at the age of 9 by studying Tonbak (Iranian Hand percussion) and playing Persian traditional music, Later on, at the age of 16 he switched to Drumset and since then has collaborated with multiple Iranian and international bands around the world. Yahya is one of the core members of the Iranian underground rock band, 127, who he joined in 2003 and has been a part of ever since.
Yahya moved to New York City in September 2011 to further his studies in Drum performance at The Collective School of Music and graduated in 2013.
